Hi. I realize that you have many choices when it comes to hiring a Social Security disability lawyer. It is important for you to find a lawyer who is both capable and responsive – after all, you usually get one shot at a hearing before a judge, and since you will likely have to wait 1, 2 or even 3 years for that hearing, you deserve to be confident that your lawyer is qualified, prepared and experienced.
I believe that you will find that my law firm and I meet all of these criteria. First, I bring to my representation of you over 25 years’ worth of experience. I was first licensed to practice law in 1986 and I have been in private practice ever since. I accepted my first Social Security disability client in the early 1990’s and disability is now my main area of day to day work. Second, I live and work in the Atlanta area. I appear at all of my hearings personally and I do not use contract lawyers who you have never met prior to the day of your hearing to try your case.
Currently, I publish a well known Social Security blog, which you can read at ssdAnswers.com, and I host a Social Security disability podcast, which you can hear at ssdRadio. I also teach other lawyers about how to handle Social Security disability claims at continuing legal education seminars and online at Solo Practice University.
I have written two “how to” books about Social Security disability claims – one is called the Disability Answer Guide and it demonstrates to filers how to properly fill out Social Security’s forms. My second book is the Child SSI Disability Answer Guide and it helps parents complete the forms for child SSI benefits.
I also produce YouTube videos at an alarming rate, and I post occasionally to a Twitter account about Social Security disability.
As far as what my clients say about me, I used to gather testimonials and send potential clients the printout as part of my intake package. State Bar rules now discourage lawyers from publishing testimonials so I don’t have this printout online anymore – but you can go to AVVO.com, which is an independent review site for professionals to see what my colleagues and clients think about me.
You are, of course, free to email me or call me at 770-393-4985.
